After leaving the military, I hit rock bottom. It took me years to rebuild and find my footing. However, five years ago, I began simplifying my life. Looking back, I remember being constantly busy.

I worked throughout my life, explored different parts of the world, lived in various countries, and raised my son as a single parent.
I felt the pressure to conform to societal socialization expectations or risk being seen as unconventional.
Nowadays, many people prefer socializing online. They chat, send messages, and share pictures instead of meeting in person. I understand the importance of social connections; however, I realize that it can become addictive, leaving us with little quiet time.
Quiet space is incredibly important to me these days. I enjoy quiet mornings with my husband, meditating, and going for walks. I like to be quiet on my walks to process my ideas or just at home, giving my thoughts some space to reflect on my life.

Creating a peaceful space has helped me focus on writing and make positive changes in my life. This quiet space helps me be more self-aware and think about whether my actions align with the life I want to live.
I now live a quieter life; however, I still socialize.
Each morning, I embrace tranquility in the kitchen as I prepare and enjoy breakfast. I also enjoy going for walks and photography hikes with my friends, cherishing moments with my spouse, engaging in meaningful conversations with my child and his wife, and indulging in creative solitary pursuits through crafting.
Is every minute one of quiet?

No, my dogs make sure I have some noise in my life, and I appreciate that. But peace also comes from how I react to the noise. Responding calmly means I understand the noise and don’t react with the same intensity.
Create a quiet space away from the noise and distractions to find reflection, peace, and beauty. This is your own world – a place worth living in.”
Today, I wish you a peaceful life.
