🚨The Rules

During our awesome vacation in Rarotonga, we had a fun hands-on lesson about climbing coconut trees! We discovered some helpful tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable climb:
- First things first, it’s best to skip the climb if you’ve been drinking. Safety first!
- If it’s super windy, it’s better to wait. The trees tend to sway a lot, and it can be a bit nerve-wracking at the top.
- Rainy weather? Not a great idea for climbing. You might reach the top, but getting down safely could be tricky!
- Climbing is usually seen as a task for men, but if you’re by yourself and need those coconuts, go for it!
- Local climbers often use a rough rope tied around their ankles. This rope helps keep you secure and prevents sliding down the tree.
- Last but not least, you should be fit or really determined to give climbing a try!
By keeping these tips in mind, you’ll be as safe as a squirrel in a tree while gathering those delicious coconuts!
