The Magical Secrets Tiny Doors Trail in Brisbane

During our trip to Brisbane, we unexpectedly came across a charming, minuscule door in an alleyway that seemed right out of a fairy tale.

This discovery sparked our curiosity, leading us to explore other captivating sights and activities throughout the city. This whimsical encounter prompted us to ponder the origins of these enchanting doors and their intriguing stories.

Mr. Robertson created the first small door, which is located on Burnett Lane.

The Artist

Mace Robertson is an incredibly talented artist responsible for the enchanting doors that adorn various locations around Brisbane.

In a recent interview with Brisbane Times, Robertson shared insights into the global impact of his work. He expressed that he has created many doors, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to sharing the enchantment of these petite portals throughout Brisbane.

What sparked his inspiration?

Robertson drew from the global trend of ‘fairy doors,’ a delightful practice involving crafting enchanting openings to the fairy realm at the base of trees. This trend served as the foundation for his approach, which he has skillfully adapted and introduced throughout Brisbane. With a vision of infusing more art into the fabric of Brisbane, Robertson embarked on a mission to evoke joy and wonder by strategically placing miniature doors across the city.
