Enjoy Life Today. Yesterday Is Gone, And Tomorrow May Never Come

Enjoy life today. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come, is one of my father’s saying. Let me explain.

Monday checklist: 1. Wake up, 2. underwear on, 3. Drink coffee, 4. Do work, 5. Eat food, 6. Don’t die.

We plan our lives both in the long term and on a day-to-day basis, using planners and digital calendars to plan our schedules. While we may feel in control of these plans, as I have mentioned, it’s an illusion.

No matter how hard we try, we can’t have complete control over our lives. Even if we plan every detail, unexpected obstacles are bound to happen.

Have you heard of Murphy’s Law?

What will I look like in the future? Leftovers.

It’s been happening to me lately. The past eight months have been busy, and the upcoming weeks will be intense.

Rarely do our days go precisely according to plan because we cannot predict the future, no matter how hard we try. There’s always a last-minute situation that will disrupt things.

How to make every minute count.

In addition to arranging our relocation to New Zealand, which is already a significant task, I had to manage the transportation of my dogs and find where to leave my son’s dogs.

At first, the plan was to find someone willing to take care of them until my son could retrieve them. So, no matter your plans, something doesn’t always fit into the plan, and here we are changing it all again. This entire situation is very stressful, to say the least.

I remember saying when I was younger, “I plan to no plan.” curiously, I still say the same and live after that belief; my husband, on the other hand, is not so enthusiastic about not having a plan.

It says that the secret to happiness is to enjoy the present.

” Enjoy life today. Yesterday is gone, and Tomorrow may never come.”

Will something terrible happen?

I worry about my future.

Is there anything we should be getting ready for in the near future?

Obviously, if a huge hurricane is on the way, you better be prepared. But otherwise, don’t stress too much about what’s to come. The future is unpredictable, and worrying about it won’t do you any good. Focus on the present moment and trust that you’ll be able to handle whatever comes your way.

Shoes & Boots. “It’s going to be a surprise present. She’s expecting a diamond ring.”

Through my life experience, I’ve learned not to set expectations. If you expect people to behave in a certain way or hope things will turn out in a particular way, you’ll almost always encounter difficulties. However, if you approach situations without expectations, things tend to work out well, sometimes even perfectly.

Graffiti. You can ruin the present by worrying about how the past will affect the future.

If something goes wrong, don’t freak out. Just take a step back and realize that things happen.

So, “Enjoy life today. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come” is a great quote.

I suggest avoiding being overly proactive, which means not creating solutions before problems actually arise. Instead, focus on preventing problems from recurring. Being overly proactive can lead to constant worrying about what might happen and creating solutions before there is even a problem.

This can result in wasting a lot of time and energy on something that may never happen.

Living in the moment is a lifestyle choice for some. Some people lack the freedom to live this way, while others are unwilling to give up control.

Some may consider it a passive way of living, but it is actually an active choice to live in the present moment rather than being preoccupied with the past or future.

When we fully embrace the present, we experience life to the fullest. This is a priceless gift that the present moment offers us and is worth considering.

Sometimes I worry about getting old. That’s a waste of time, Norma. It is? Of course! Why worry about something that’s already happened? – Enjoy life today. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come
