We had a fantastic time during our trip to Australia! One of our favorite spots was CBD Brisbane City, bustling with many fun activities. We had a blast searching for tiny hidden doors around the city and taking in the beautiful scenery at the City Botanic Garden. We also took a trip to the Gold Coast and soaked up the sun on the beach, enjoying the warm water and lovely atmosphere. Last but not least, we visited Steven Irvin’s fabulous Australian Zoo.
It was such a memorable trip!

What should you do in Brisbane and the surrounding areas?
If you’re in Brisbane CBD, there are plenty of things to do. Here are some recommendations:

– Visit Eat Street Northshore and Howard Smith Wharves precinct. Both are located on the riverfront and offer a variety of dining options. Eat Street Northshore is particularly unique as it’s made entirely from shipping containers.
– Take a walk along the boardwalk, which runs alongside the Brisbane River.
– New Farm Park, located by the riverfront, is the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic under the enormous fig trees. The park is adjacent to the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse.
– Explore the City Botanic Gardens. It’s a massive area spanning over 56 hectares and features a wide range of plants and animals.
– Try to find the tiny doors hidden throughout the city.
Things to do near Brisbane
I highly recommend checking out Mulgumpin, also known as Moreton Island. It’s a fantastic spot for camping, with some of the most well-protected sand dunes you’ll ever see!

If you’re more of a beach person, you should definitely stop by the Gold Coast. There’s nothing like soaking up the sun and feeling the sand between your toes.
And if you’re traveling with your family or alone, you won’t want to miss the Steven Irwin Zoo, located in the northern part of the area. This zoo has something for everyone, with tons of fun activities and sights to see. Trust me, it’s the perfect spot for a day trip or a family outing.
